The Monday, October 16 program, “Butchering the Truth – The Media War Against Israel,” was cancelled because of the storm. The even this now rescheduled to Monday, December 4, at the JCC at 7 PM. Steve Stotsky, from CAMERA, a media watchdog of the Mideast conflict, will discuss how terrorists, journalists and photographers often manipulate the public’s source of information. Following Mr. Stotsky’s presentation, the fifty minute documentaryThe Road to Jenin will be shown. The documentary is about the Netanya bombing on Passover evening and how the media responded to Operation Desert Shield, launched by Israel as a direct consequence of this terrorist act.

Reminder: Interactive programon Thursday, October 26 at 7:30 PM at the JCC Benderson Building entitled, “The Arab-Israeli Conflict: From Understanding to Advocacy.” The David Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote a fair and honest understanding of the Arab-Israeli conflict. The organization states that Israel is being falsely singled out as the primary cause of conflict in the Middle East and in the world. Mr. Lawrence Muscant will show how to reframe the conflict to a broader context with advocacy skill building. The workshop will also provide thoughtful and principled answer the most difficult questions surrounding the Arab-Israeli conflict.
