SPME Micro Grant Program

SPME is pleased to offer its micro-grants program, now available to SPME members (up to $3,500) for the 2019-20 academic year. These grants are aimed to support faculty in developing on-campus programming about Israel, BDS, antisemitism, and other topics relevant to SPME’s mission.

Examples of micro-grant-funded initiatives include (but are not limited to):

  • Campus events and programming
  • Symposia
  • Panels
  • Speakers
  • Films

If you are interested in applying for a micro-grant, please fill out the application below with as much information as possible highlighting what your event is trying to accomplish, and how does that align with SPME’s mission.

Grants can be made to departments or can go to individual members. Where honoraria are involved for speakers and invited guests, grants should be made through an established department or program.

Each SPME member receiving support is required subsequently to submit a brief summary including how the grant funds were used, and evaluating the outcomes or achievements the initiative created.
