Now in its eighth decade, the American Jewish Congress is more than an organization. It is a movement?uniquely American?uniquely Jewish?deeply committed to a body of principles and a set of goals. We believe that the Jews are one people?and we’re dedicated to strengthening the ties that bind us at home and around the world. We believe in keeping faith with our Jewish heritage, applying its ethical and intellectual principles in our own land and our own time.

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME) is not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)], grass-roots community of scholars who have united to promote honest, fact-based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We believe that ethnic, national, and religious hatreds, including anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, have no place in our institutions, disciplines, and communities. We employ academic means to address these issues.
