SPME is pleased to announce two matching grant opportunities for you, the grass-roots network contributors to SPME. The first is a large grant from one of our long time donors. This grant will match all new money over and above 2009 donations. The donor has committed $100,000 if we raise $400,000 in new contribution dollars over 2010. For example if you gave $100 in 2009 and give $150 in 2010 then the $50 in new money will count toward the match. Every time SPME reaches $100,000 in new donation money, the donor will contribute $25,000.

The second donor will donate $50 for every new donor contribution of $100 now through the end of February. So, for those of you who have not given previously, your gift of $100 or more will be matched with a $50.00 contribution from this donor through the end of February.

Both of these matching grants give you an opportunity to increase the impact of your donation to SPME in 2010. Elizabeth Gaither, our Director of Administrative Services, and Sam Edelman, SPME’s Executive Director, will be sending out to each of you soon a letter documenting your 2008 and 2009 contributions to SPME. We hope that you will take advantage of these matching grants as you consider what you want to give in 2010.
