The Center for Islam in Europe (Centrum voor Islam in Europa) at the University in Gent published these days an open letter to a Call for Investigation and Possible Prosecution of WAR CRIMES by the International Criminal Court. This letter is meanwhile is distributed on several internet-sites as ”Different Jewish Voice “ of the Netherlands, which recommends full support of this letter, the “Occupation magazine ” and Indymedia Italia

Author of this letter is the Austrian assistant lecturer at the Institute for International Law and International Relations of Karl Franzens University in Graz Yvonne Schmidt. She appears repeatedly as supporter of the activities of the anti-imperialist Camp and does not miss any opportunity to accuse Israel of occupationary politics. On her website at the University of Graz she quotes a press release (in German) of the International Association Of Lawyers Against Nuclear Arms (Deutsche Sektion) against Israel defending itself.

Schmidt, who hosted last winter a panel at the University in Graz “Palestine: Autonomous State or Israel’s Colony?” propagizes antiisrael bias at her lectures. In an article published in German in January 2006 she attributes the whole responsibility for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to Israel as the oppressive power and to the United States.
