Chancellor Block also reached out to the heads of the AMCHA Initiative and the other six pro-Israel organizations which had penned the letter last week calling for substantive action. Block said he would meet with the seven groups.

“We commend President Napolitano and Chancellor Block. These are significant first steps, although there is much more to be done,” said Leila Beckwith, AMCHA co-founder and a UCLA professor.

“We will be bringing our concerns about the targeting, harassment and bullying of Jewish students at UCLA to Chancellor Block when we meet with him,” Beckwith said.

The other organizations which signed the letter to Chancellor Block and President Napolitano are the Institute for Black Solidarity With Israel, the Lawfare Project, Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, StandWithUs and the Zionist Organization of America.
