Feedback From Colleagues Regarding SPME Statement Against Boycott

From Ronnie Cole in Israel
I cannot tell you how reassuring it is to find a group of academics prepared to stand up to the blatant anti-semitism of the UCU. We Israelis are used to standing alone and fighting for our survival in all sorts of ways. The Arabs and Jew haters use any method they can to try and vilify us and justify their sickening behaviour in the eyes of the world. It is a wonderful gesture of support to us to have such a distinguished group of individuals identifying with and standing alongside us against the never-ending wave of anti-semitism. We are very grateful and thank you all sincerely for your noble act.

From Benjamin Eliason in Israel
As an Israeli professional, I would like to thank you for your decisive response to the deplorable boycott of Israeli academics by the British University and Colleges Union.
Please be aware that there is an outpouring of gratitude from Israelis as evidenced by the responses in the Israeli on-line media. You can see it here (mostly in Hebrew):

We employ academic means to address these issues.
