The fall 2021 semester begins with pushback against teacher’s unions supporting BDS but with the continued threat from ‘ethnic studies’ and ‘critical race theory’ curricula at the K-12 and university levels. And while BDS on campus ramps up, the failure of students, faculty, or other groups to speak out against Taliban oppression is highlighting the BDS movement’s hypocrisy and antisemitism. SPME’s Live Briefing Series covers recent BDS developments and gives listeners the opportunity to ask questions to SPME staff.

SPME

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME) is not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)], grass-roots community of scholars who have united to promote honest, fact-based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We believe that ethnic, national, and religious hatreds, including anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, have no place in our institutions, disciplines, and communities. We employ academic means to address these issues.
