Donald Trump’s resounding electoral victory has the potential to comprehensively reshape the American environment regarding BDS and antisemitism. While many details of his domestic and international agendas remain unclear, Trump’s expressed opposition to ‘jihadism’ on campus and prevailing concepts of higher education, as well as to ‘critical race theory’ and DEI policies as a whole, promises change. At the same time, the Amsterdam pogrom and continued low level assaults against Jews in the US demonstrates that antisemitism remains deeply rooted and might be moving into a new and more violent phase. SPME’s Live Briefing Series covers recent BDS developments and gives listeners the opportunity to ask questions to SPME staff.
