Friends,

Please join our SPME Delaware Valley Chapter leaders and other Community Friends for unique event on Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. when we will have the opportunity to view the premiere screening of the movie Crossing the Line: the Intifada Comes to Campus with guest speaker Khaled Abu Toameh. As many of you know, college campuses have become a new battleground for the effort to delegitimize Israel’s right to exist. This movie will demonstrate this battle and the discussion with Khaled Abu Toameh will be similarly enlightening. Khaled Abu Toameh is an award-winning, independent Israeli-Arab journalist who has been covering Palestinian issues in the West Bank and Gaza for more than 20 years. Having begun his career as a writer for an official PLO newspaper, he now writes for the Jerusalem Post.

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME) is not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)], grass-roots community of scholars who have united to promote honest, fact-based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We believe that ethnic, national, and religious hatreds, including anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, have no place in our institutions, disciplines, and communities. We employ academic means to address these issues.
