David Nelken, Cardiff (UK) Law School Comments on Situation of Identification of “Jewish” Professors in Italy

You may not have picked up the following news from Italy. Around 160 professors here – jewish and non jewish signed a petition, which appeared in a paid advert in the main Italian newspaper Corriere della sera, two years ago criticising the plans in the English trade union AUT ( I was one of the signatories and happen also to be a member of the AUT, now called UCU ) to boycott israeli universities.

A blog site in Italy has been hosting ( apparently since November) this list, together with extreme anti semitic remarks about this being evidence of an Israeli extra- territorial lobby dominating the Italian university system.
The relevant site has been obscured after reported by the Rome jewish community
More details from the promoter of the petition-meghnagi@uniroma3.it
