You asked for comments on academics and their views re. Israel. Here are
mine..

As a Professor Emerita of a Canadian University, I must admit to being
appalled and disgusted by the negative and critical views voiced by so many
academics. The Left used to be great spokesmen for Human Rights, This no
longer seems to be the case, Pompous, ill-informed so-called leftist
spokesmen do not hesitate to trample on human rights and human dignity. They
are quick to criticize Israel and ignore the actions and threats of the
terrorist groups that surround the tiny democarcy. They also dhow disdain
for the US and its record. These folks would benefit by spendng some time
in the countries surrounding Israel, where women are brutalized and human
rights are ignored.
