Following the closure of the Ahava Shop in London a few years ago, an Israeli store which had been selling settlement produce from the 1967-occupied West Bank, Israel has recently opened a new shop (‘Sabon’) in the same Covent Garden area of London with the object of again selling Dead Sea products but this time using material extracted allegedly from within the 1948 borders of Israel; nevertheless as all products emanating from Israel need to be boycotted until such time as Israel withdraws from the Occupied Territories, as requested by Palestinian Civil Society, a protest demo was held outside the shop, no doubt the first of a series, with the purpose of advising potential customers that what they would be purchasing would not be ‘sabon’ (Hebrew for soap) but in effect the blood of Palestinian men, women and children, maimed or slaughtered by the war criminals of the Zionist State both in Gaza and on the West Bank.
