The campaign group Jewish Human Rights Watch (JHRW) has accused the Scotttish Palestine Solidarity Campaign of “targeting” a Jewish businessman for selling Israeli goods.

Ally Coutts was found guilty of racially abusing Nisan Ayalon, who operates stalls selling Israeli cosmetics, earlier this month.

Coutts, 57, is a prominent member of the SPSC.

Mr Ayalon, a Jewish businessman based in Aberdeen, owns Jericho SkinCare, which sells products containing minerals extracted from the Dead Sea.

He claims to have already been “hounded out” of Glasgow.

According to JHRW:  “The targeted hate that has been poured upon this one individual is nothing short of a disgraceful game of chase the Jew in 2017.”

Two other Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign (SPSC) members have previously been convicted for targeting Mr Ayalon’s business.

Mick Napier was convicted in July of aggravated trespass and ignoring a police order, while Jim Watson was convicted of ignoring the police.

Neither were convicted of racially-motivated crime.

Coutts maintains his was not a racially-motivated attack.
