SPME thanks these wonderful and generous returning and new donors for helping SPME remain vital and independent. However we are at a terrible crossroads with not having enough money to program past December 31, 2006 if you do not contribute. I don’t know how to put it any other way. If we don’t raise enough money for academic 2006-07 now, we will go out of business. Is that what you want as we begin a year where we have mountains of challenges given the events of this summer.

Many thanks to:

Norman Berkowitz
Boston College

Ervin Erdoes
University of Illinois-Chicago

Marlene Gottheil
University of Montreal

Sheila F. Hordon, Esq.
Kendall Park NJ

Abigail Rosenthal Martin
Brooklyn College

Noach Milgram

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME) is not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)], grass-roots community of scholars who have united to promote honest, fact-based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We believe that ethnic, national, and religious hatreds, including anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, have no place in our institutions, disciplines, and communities. We employ academic means to address these issues.
