As Scholars for Peace in the Middle East faces a very serious budget to continue through academic 2006-2007, we would like to thank these generous donors. But we need each and every one of you receiving this SPME Faculty Forum to make a contribution at www.spme.net/donation.html or send a check for $50 or more to: SPME, c/o Susquehanna Institute, 624 Sandra Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109-5816.

If any of you would like to serve on a development committee to help SPME raise the $500,000 annual budget it needs to hire an executive director and support staff, relocate to a university campus and do more of the important programming that will be so necessary this coming year, please contact, Dr. Ed Beck, President at [email protected] . We desparately need our members helping to raise funds to sustain the important investments in scholarship that is so necessary.

SPME will not be able to respond to calls for initiating programming and scholarly activities without the contributions of each and every one of you receiving this Faculty Forum doing your fair share. We ask all of our subscribers to make a contribution of $50 or more to sustain this important work.

Thank you.

SPME

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME) is not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)], grass-roots community of scholars who have united to promote honest, fact-based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We believe that ethnic, national, and religious hatreds, including anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, have no place in our institutions, disciplines, and communities. We employ academic means to address these issues.
