Scholars for Peace in the Middle East Would like to welcome these new members from NYU and the University of Ilinois-Chicago with the understanding that now is the time each of you must make your tax-deductable contribution for SPME if we are going to go ahead with services and programming for academic 2006-2007.

The fact of the matter is that we are woefully behind last year in membership contributions and renewals and services and programming are at risk for this year, at a time when they will be desparately needed on campus. Please to to spme.org/donation.html and be generous. Thank you.

SPME

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME) is not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)], grass-roots community of scholars who have united to promote honest, fact-based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We believe that ethnic, national, and religious hatreds, including anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, have no place in our institutions, disciplines, and communities. We employ academic means to address these issues.
