SPME was sadden to learn of the news of the untimely death of Matthew D. Jacobson (z’l) son of Judith and Leon Jacobson in NYC. Prof. Judith Jacobson is a Co-Founder and Vice President of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East and Co-Chair of the Columbia University SPME Chapter. The Board of Directors extends condolences to Judith and Leon and brother Alex. May Matthew’s memory be forever a blessing.

JACOBSON, Matthew D., 35, died on February 13, 2010. Beloved son of Leon and Judith Jacobson; dear brother of Alexander Jacobson; cherished nephew of Dorothy and Robert Wigod; affectionate cousin of Dewey Wigod, Emily Pincus, and Michael and Andrew Solloway; warm and wonderful friend to many. Funeral services 11:30am Tuesday at Plaza Memorial Chapel, 630 Amsterdam Ave at 91th St, NYC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (spme.org ).
