International Advisory Board on Academic Freedom Requests Information from SPME Members on Collaborations Between Israeli and UK Universities and Faculty In Anticipation of Boycott Action

Dear SPME Faculty Members,

As part of the preparation for the upcoming UCU annual meeting, where we assume that an academic boycott (of Israeli institutions) resolution may be submitted, the IAB is collecting data concerning collaborations between Israeli and UK universities.

Please let us know if you know of or are part of such connections as shared research projects in receipt of external funding, shared articles or any other joint projects between Israeli and UK academics.

Please send us such information to fofir@netvision.net.il ;

This is quite urgent.

Please feel free to circulate this email to Israeli and UK colleagues.

Thank you

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME) is not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)], grass-roots community of scholars who have united to promote honest, fact-based, and civil discourse, especially in regard to Middle East issues. We believe that ethnic, national, and religious hatreds, including anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism, have no place in our institutions, disciplines, and communities. We employ academic means to address these issues.
