An Israeli counter-terror interrogation revealed that the Islamic Movement works in connection with Hamas to have stones thrown at Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount, according to a Times of Israel report. The Israeli Defense Forces detained Hamas operative Mahmoud Toameh, who revealed the connection.

“In his interrogation, Toameh revealed that Hamas works with the Islamic Movement (an Israeli organization that promotes Islam among Israel’s Arab citizens) to keep Jews from entering the Temple Mount compound, by retaining a group of young men to harass and throw stones at Jewish visitors. These men, who ostensibly are studying Islamic theology at the site, are paid a monthly salary of NIS 4,000 to NIS 5000 ($1,150-$1,440) for their activities,”Israeli police told TOI.

The leader of the Islamic Movement, Sheikh Raed Salah,  met with two San Francisco State University professors as TruthRevolt reported on Tuesday. The meeting was paid for by American taxpayers.

According to TOI, “Toameh also said that Hamas maintains a secret connection” with Salah. This connection is unsurprising: Salah has previously spent time in jail from 2003-2005 for funding Hamas. In his past, Salah has also accused Jews of using children’s blood to bake bread and as cited by a 2011 article in the Daily Mail, “is said to have cast doubt on Osama Bin Laden’s culpability for 9/11, suggesting instead the attacks were an Israeli plot and that Jews were warned not to go to work at the World Trade Center on that day.”
