This puts Hebrew U. in first place among universities outside of the United States and Britain for registering most, highest quality patents in biotechnology field

The Hebrew University in Jerusalem ranked 12th in the world for the number and quality of patents it registered during the year 2005 in the field of biotechnology.

This puts Hebrew U. in first place among universities outside of the United States and Britain.

The study, published by the prestigious Milken Institute in Los Angeles, examined 424 universities around the world.

It additionally revealed that Jerusalem’s Hebrew University was ranked higher than many highly reputed academic institutions, including Yale University a

nd the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States and Oxford in England.

The three top-ranking universities for the number and quality of patents they registered in the biotechnology field were the University of Texas, the University of California in San Francisco, and Johns Hopkins University.
