On loyalty oaths… I signed a loyalty oath in Florida years and years ago and it’s mandatory as far as I know- also in NJ. But this is not required in Israel at any level of education nor for the Knesset, for that matter. I always found it demeaning to sign, but then again, this business came in with the McCarthy era and I still feel the same way..Goldie Glugman, Tel Aviv (retired Barry College)While I agree with this concept, knowing how it won’t be utilized makes me negative on this idea. We know, of course, that our 4th branch of government, ACLU, will challenge this and it will be null and void… Carol Bolotin.

On the Ceasefire…

Leaving beside emotions of willingness to establish peace et al, a tremendous reality seen is that this UN resolution helps in a short term Hezbollzh relocating resources while Israelis rethinking tactics might be used to future operations.

In a longer term, Sheikh Nasrulla, an expert in attacks from the backs of Lebanese people already, will attack Israel from behind the international UN-assigned units, professionally selecting the most appropriate time to substantially influence anti-Israel anti-Semitic hysteria worldwide as already during the last provocation practically done.Presence of so-called “peacekeepers” is a very precondition for globalisation of a conflict itself, of which tragic occurrence your respondent suggests we all might be witnessing in the nearest year-year and a half, regrettably.
