In her latest book, The Path to Paradise: The Inner World of Suicide Bombers and Their Dispatchers, Dr. Berko unearths the world of female and male Palestinian suicide bombers and their dispatchers. Dr. berko holds a Ph.D. in criminology from Bar-Ilan University and is currently the visiting Schusterman Professor at George Washington University. A research fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya Israel, she lectures also at the Center’s School of Government, Diplomacy and Security. Dr. Berko, a retired lieutenant-colonel in the Israel Defence Forces, is a member of Israel’s Counter Terrorism Team and Israel’s National Security Council.
